#MorethanFootball Action Week
The #MorethanFootball Action Week is a new European event for Professional European Football Clubs, Foundations, Community Trusts and their delivery organisations to showcase the impact of their investment in Community & Social Responsibility Activities and Programmes on a local, national and international stage. This initiative, powered by EFDN and multiple Football Clubs, Leagues and Football Association’s across Europe will conduct this inaugural event during the 30.03.2017 until 09.04.2017.
During the event period, all participating organisations can use the event to highlight the social impact they are having within their local national & International communities. EFDN has identified through research that it can be a substantial process for clubs of all sizes and capabilities to showcase the amazing work within their communities to a wider audience.
Key findings prove that traditional sports media continue to focus on the 11 players on the pitch and sometimes miss great opportunities to demonstrate the impact clubs are having in European regions and around the globe! EFDN is firmly committed along with its key stakeholders to deliver a week focussed on the work of the European Football Family to receive the attention we all feel it deserves!! For this reason, we are working in partnership to bring #MorethanFootball Action Week to a European & Global football audience with the intention that the event will integrate into the European Football ‘s sporting calendar within European Football. Clubs and organisations will promote their activities, programmes & strategic messages by using a variety of modern and traditional media such as TV, radio, websites, social media channels, events, videos, billboards, posters and brochures. An important part of the action week will be the hashtag #MorethanFootball, which shall be used across all social media channels, when referring to the Action Week.
All football clubs, Leagues and FA’s in Europe are welcome to participate to showcase their activities with the areas of social impact.
