AC Sparta Praha donates money to former player fund

Before the last home game before Christmas for AC Sparta Praha against  Mladá Boleslav, Sparta NADOBORO (“Sparta for good”) received a donation. 

Last year, AC Sparta Praha decided to dedicate the last pre-Christmas home game to a good cause and this year the action was repeated. The money donated to the fund will be used to help former Sparta players who are in need of medical or social support. The highest contribution, CZK 592,342 (€ 23,243) was donated by the current Sparta players to help their predecessors. A part of the game contract included a clause, that a part of the player’s wage is automatically transferred to the ACS Foundation. The remaining amount of CZK 34,600 was collected through the 50:50 Football Tipsport Tombola event. During the Sunday match, fans had the opportunity to purchase a Spartan raffle ticket for the first time. Half of the amount collected through the raffle was donated to the ACS Foundation.
