BSC Young Boys joins European Football for Development Network

EFDN is proud to welcome BSC Young Boys as our new member. The Swiss club is committed to its local community and joins the network to share best practices with other European clubs.

The main focus of the social engagement of BSC Young Boys is on three topics: Racism and discrimination, children’s health and education, and mental health. The CSR activities are planned and organised by the club’s marketing department, but the whole club gets involved in the implementation. Corporate social responsibility is one of six pillars of the club’s overall strategy.

Since 2001, BSC Young Boys takes part in the FARE Action Weeks and sends out a statement against Racism, Violence and Discrimination in sports and in society. The club supports charities like “Arche Fonds” and “Batzebär” that help sick children or facilitate the education of nursing staff and research on children’s diseases. BSC Young Boys organise special events for children, training camps and player visits to schools. Furthermore, our new member raises and fosters an understanding of mental illnesses together with the foundation “Pro Mente Sana”.

EFDN is looking forward to collaborating and exchanging knowledge with BSC Young Boys. You can find more information on the member page here.
