Conference update regarding the COVID-19 Regulations

Before the Conference

General Corona requirements (based on the Dutch COVID-19 law for events held in the Netherlands)

  1. Participants were fully vaccinated 14 days or more ago; or
  2. They can prove that they have recovered from Covid-19 within the last 6 months, or;
  3. Participants who are NOT vaccinated need a negative PCR (max. 48h before departure) or antigen test (max. 24h before departure)not older than 24 hours before the entrance to the event.
  4. Everyone needs to fill in the health declaration before leaving the country here.
  5. We strongly advise you to check the corona measurement here before your departure, as the law could change at any time.
  6. You can check your trip in detail depending on the country you are coming in from here.

Corona requirements for participants from the United Kingdom (based on the Dutch COVID-19 law for events held in the Netherlands)

  1. The UK is currently listed as “very high risk area” in the Dutch Government list.
  2. If you come from the United Kingdom, you must submit a NAAT/PCR test that is no more than 48 hours old before departure to the Netherlands or an antigen test that is no more than 24 hours old before departure. Even if you have been vaccinated or recovered.
  3. If you are fully vaccinated you do not need to go into quarantine
  4. You must always carry a quarantine certificate with you, even if you fall under the exception of the mandatory quarantine. Here is the link to fill in the quarantine certificate/form.
  5. You need to fill in the health declaration before leaving the UK.

After arrival/during the Conference

  1. Corona tests can be arranged for free in the Netherlands. The link to book a test is https://www.testenvoortoegang.org/ (the website is also accessible in English if you want to have more information about it). The results will be sent to the registered email address within 15 minutes after the test has been made.   2. At the entrance of the venue, each participant will need to show the Corona QR-code before entering the venue.

After the Conference

For travellers with a vaccination certificate or a recovery certificate, the urgent advice is to take a self-test before meeting others or going back to work.


Please be aware, in case a participant needs to do a test here in the Netherlands and will be tested positive here and needs to go into quarantine, EFDN will NOT cover the extra costs (extra nights at the Hotel due to quarantine and a new flight to travel back home ). These extra costs will be on the participating organisation.
