EFDN welcome FC St. Pauli to the network

EFDN is delighted to announce that FC St. Pauli has officially joined the network. We are looking forward to working together with the German football club, currently playing in the 2. Bundesliga.

FC St. Pauli holds a lot of projects and initiatives in community work, the environmental sector, and others. The clubs’ main sectors include education, help for homeless & refugees, diversity projects and many more. FCSP is based on the activity of the fan scene and their clubs, institution, and projects. The club supports the engagement of its fans in many ways, either through their fan workshops, counseling opportunities, support network, projects and concepts and also their audits to assess the quality of accessibility, inclusion, equality, etc.

We are excited to meet the club representatives and exchange knowledge at the upcoming 14th EFDN “Morethanfootball” Conference in Breda on the 24th & 25th of March and also to attend the presentation delivered by Michael Thomsen, the Head of CSR at FC St.Pauli. The presentation will be on the topic of fan facilitation and participation as core elements of the clubs’ CSR activities. The club is thankful for all activities that give an understanding of how football is more than just a game. They recognize that football and all stakeholders can create social change.
