250 fans enjoy a special visit to Ibrox

The Rangers Charity Foundation invited 250 football fans from local groups and organisations to the Marseille friendly on Saturday and as you can see from the photographs they had a great time at the Ibrox Stadium!
The tickets were kindly donated to the Foundation by the Club, and we distributed them to people affected by homelessness as well as a mixture of veterans, carers and youth organisations in Glasgow .

A new generation of supporters at Ibrox

2Many grateful recipients reported it was the first time they had the opportunity to visit Ibrox as they watched Rangers draw 1-1 with the French side.
Whitacres Academy for Sport brought youngsters (pictured) from its football development squad to the game introducing a new generation of supporters to Rangers.
Some of the boys were even lucky enough to meet players Danny Wilson and Niko Kranjcar as well as mascot Broxi Bear.
Other organisations given tickets included South West Glasgow Carers Centre, Glasgow Homelessness Network, Save our Service Veterans and Barnardo’s.

Jay Prosser, a project worker at the Bethany Christian Trust – a charity which works with individuals and communities to prevent homelessness, said some of the people it brought to the game had never been to a football match before.

“All the service users that went really enjoyed the whole experience,” he said.
“For several of them this was their first football game.
“One of the guys commented that he could not believe the difference between watching games on TV and the atmosphere at a live game, some accolade considering it was a friendly!”
