FC Midtjylland hands out Christmas gifts to children

FC Midtjylland went out and distributed a lot of gifts. After the end of the training session, players from FC Midtjylland went to all parts of the region handing out Christmas gifts to 157 poor families.

These families are in a shortage of money, and that’s the reason why they have applied for Christmas-help at the Community Trust FCM Samfund; an independent part of FC Midtjylland, whose purpose is to increase the quality of life among the citizens in the region.

Nice to make a difference

It was an incredible moment for the kids to get to meet the local heroes from their favourite team but the Christmas lights in the kids’ eyes started shining even brighter when they realized that the players brought gifts. Every Christmas gift was a sports bag that contained FC Midtjylland training clothes, towel, football, water bottle and a LEGO-set, as well as a one-year free subscription to the local football club.

– ”It’s nice to come out here and make a difference to these kids and see their happiness, knowing that they sometimes struggle a bit more than the rest of us. It’s great that we as a football club and individuals can give something back” said the 28-year-old team captain Erik Sviatchenko.

FC Midtjylland is in the lead of the 3F Superliga in Denmark, collecting 50 impressive points in the previous 20 rounds.
