Feyenoord OldStars prepare for the ‘Feyenoord Fun Run’

In order to prepare for the ‘Fun Run’ of the Feyenoord Foundation, the Feyenoord OldStars have received a special training session.  The ‘Fun Run’ will take place in exactly two weeks, on the 24th of May.

Yesterday, the Feyenoord OldStars Walking Football players were invited to the Sports Performance Center Rijnmond in Rotterdam.

At the Sports Performance Centre, the OldStars received a training session given by Errol Esajas and Anoeschka Daans.

The training session focused to a major extent on running consciously, moving and rotating. Aspects, from which the participants do not only benefit during the Walking Football sessions but also in terms of overall prevention of injuries.

Additionally, the OldStars got extra training in the field of conditioning to prepare for the run. The OldStars will jointly run the Family Run on May24th according to the motto “One Team, One Task”. The run will include a course of 1,500 leading through stadium De Kuip.

Also women, children and grandchildren of the OldStars will join the family event.

By participating, the Feyenoord OldStars aim at collecting at least 500€ for good causes – the Sophia Children Hospital and the Feyenoord Foundation. In order to do so, a donation page has been created on the Feyenoord donation platform.

How to join the Fun Run?
During the Fun Run, different distances can be completed, either 5 or 10 kilometers. Both distances, lead through stadium De Kuip.
