First speakers announced 11th EFDN Conference

On 13 and 14 November, the 11th EFDN Conference; CSR in European Football will welcome 150 conference attendees who are involved in community and social responsibility programmes, policies, activities and events within European professional football.

The first speakers are already announced and clubs like AFC Ajax, Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers F.C., Club Brugge, Bayern 04 Leverkusen and many others have already confirmed their attendance.

First announced speakers

 

Peter Klomp – UEFA

Mr Klomp, Head of Corporate Communications at the UEFA, will present about the multiple award-winning #EqualGame campaign and thus UEFA’s promotion of diversity, inclusion and accessibility. Peter Klomp has been active in sports sponsorship for many years. He joined UEFA as Head of Corporate Communications in 2016 and is responsible for all of UEFA’s corporate messaging across analogue, digital and social channels, including internal and external communications, CSR campaigning and reputation management

Elena Montoro – LaLiga

For more than two years, Elena Montoro is responsible for the design and implementation of projects, partnerships and the institutional representation of the LaLiga Foundation. Mrs Montoro’s presentation will centre on the LaLiga Genuine project, a social responsibility and integration initiative, that has led to a league composed of teams of people with intellectual disabilities. The presentation includes the aims and activities of the project and how the partnerships with the clubs and other stakeholders are formed. Mrs Monoro will also provide an overview of other LaLiga Foundation activities that make an impact in Spanish society on a daily basis.

Nico Kempf – DFB Foundation Sepp Herberger

Mr Kempf is the Deputy Manager of the DFB Foundation Sepp Herberger. The oldest football foundation in Germany is engaged in the development of disability football encourages programmes to build up partnerships between schools and clubs or deals with the reintegration of young offenders through football. As Project Manager in disability football, Mr Kempf is leading all the projects for disabled members of the German football family. In recent years, he worked in the CSR department of the Bavarian Football Federation. He studied Sports, Business & Law and additionally works as football coach within the DFB Talent Development Programme.

Wim Beelaert – KAA Gent

Coordinator of the KAA Gent Foundation will represent the conference hosting partner and present all social facets of the club. The KAA Gent Foundation is a well respected innovative force, both in Gent’s sports environment and in the local community. The Belgium first-division club is an organisation with a social purpose with a distinct social commitment: the KAA Gent Foundation.
