The initiative brings together 10 banks and more than 30 companies to support the most vulnerable families in Portugal.

The Portuguese Football Federation will participate in the #TodosJuntos campaign, which brings together ten banks in the Portuguese financial system and more than 30 companies in support of the families most affected by the pandemic in Portugal.

This solidarity operation, which starts with more than two million euros already raised, will continue until June 2 and will reach the most needy families through the Food Emergency Network.

450,000 people need food aid in Portugal
According to the Portuguese Federation of Food Banks, there are about 450 thousand people who need daily food support. The total amount raised at the end of the campaign will allow the purchase of basic foods (milk, cereals, rice, olive oil, beans, pasta, tuna, etc.), with 20% of the amount going to support the families’ needs related to medicines .

2 million euros already raised
The 10 banks participating in the #TodosJuntos initiative committed to a total contribution of around 1.8 million euros and invited over 30 companies to join the initiative, which contributed with financial donations and food assets. The total amount collected even before the official launch of this initiative already exceeds 2 million euros.

Several companies, including Missão Continente, contributed food. The Portuguese Football Federation, Canal 11, the Football Foundation – Liga Portugal and the major media groups publicize the campaign on their platforms and call for the mobilization of private donations.

Food Emergency
The Food Emergency Network was selected as a distribution platform for goods to families in need. This network was launched by IPSS ENTRAJUDA to respond to situations of need resulting from the impact of the pandemic, articulated in Food Banks and which integrates about 2,700 institutions and entities across the country, thus ensuring the diversity of beneficiaries and a national distribution (continent and autonomous regions).

All information about the initiative will be available on the Food Emergency Network website on a page dedicated to #TodosJuntos. The donation distribution process will be accompanied by an external audit promoted by Deloitte.

Operators NOS, MEO and Vodafone are also associated with this initiative, giving up any revenue from the added value line for raising donations, in favor of the campaign.
