Getafe CF Foundation launches “Women and Leadership Forum”

Getafe CF hosted the first “Women and Leadership Forum”. This forum is one of the most remarkable projects coordinated by Getafe CF Foundation.

Diego Garcia Diego, General Manager of Getafe CF Foundation stated: “Our main goal with this forum is to empower women by using the power of football. We are aware that football is a good way to create positive impacts on society. This is an innovative and pioneer programme to support women. Moreover, is not only aimed at women in sport or football but at all women.”

The forum consists of different conferences through different times of the year throughout the season. In these conferences, several important themes are tackled such as non-verbal language, leadership or team management. Any women that have registered for one of the conferences will be able to attend. It is completely free and it will take place at Getafe’s press room.

The main goal of the forum is to raise awareness of gender equity and support the equality of opportunities in society. Furthermore, other objectives will be to support female entrepreneurship skills and provide the attendees with the appropriate training to broaden their horizons and promote their professional development as well as their own personal growth. In addition to this, the conferences also provide an outstanding opportunity to support women in the process of seeking for a job, to show the essential role women have not only in the society but also in the business sector nowadays and also as a place where women can share experiences as well as network with each other.

This programme has been developed as part of Getafe’s CSR policies. The Foundation has an interest in showing and making visible the relevant role of women in society. The Foundation is convinced that any society that will be open-minded about gender equity and provide the same opportunities to both genders will eventually be the best society for all of us.
