GOODISON SLEEPOUT RAISES OVER £34,000 FOR EVERTON IN THE COMMUNITY

Everton in the Community supporters spent the night at Goodison Park on Friday to raise vital funds for the charity’s homeless project as the annual Goodison Sleepout returned.

Now in its fifth year, the event gives supporters a sense of what it’s like to sleep rough as they spend the night camped in the stands of the Sir Philip Carter Park Stand.

170 Evertonians – including Club Ambassador, Ian Snodin, and UFC Fighter, Molly McCann – came together in aid of the Home Is Where The Heart Is programme, with the event raising over £34, 000.

Fundraising from previous sleepouts has helped fund the purchase, development and sustainability of a four-bedroom residential house in Liverpool which provides vulnerable young people with a safe place to stay as well as tailored support from acquiring qualifications and employment to managing bills and helping rebuild family relationships.
