Under the leadership of Ajax Foundation Ambassador John Heitinga, as soon as the Ajax players entered the clinic, the hospital corridors soon filled with cheerful faces and exultant cries.

After a word of welcome, the players and players divided themselves over the different departments where there were plenty of cuddlles, high-fives and most of all laughter.  After doing the rounds of the wards, the players gathered on the wooden stand in the hospital, where John Heitinga turned out to be a true quizmaster and the children proved to be real Ajax-experts.

Due to the merger between AMC and Vumc, the children in the Emma Children’s Hospital (location AMC) were surprised in the morning. It was an afternoon that will not be forgotten soon by the kids and with a head full of beautiful encounters and stories, the players of Ajax stepped back onto the bus.
