Legia Warsaw supports summer trip for children

63 people – children and youth went together with their supervisors on a vacation to Ocypel, Poland. The Legia Foundation supported the organisation of the holiday trip.

The Legia Foundation has been cooperating with the organising association operating in Prague for almost four years. It is a non-profit organisation working on comprehensive support for the development of children and young people as well as adults. As part of its activities, the association organises socio-therapeutic trips and such a trip was also organised this summer.

The camp was a follow up on group work with children and youth. Participants are mainly young people from Prague primary schools. One of the goals of the trip was to integrate older and younger children by looking at each other in action, making a joint effort, and finally experiencing together fun and cooperation. The participants can experience secure relationships based on care and respect and learn to deal with difficult situations. The camp is a very important tool to support year-round socio-therapeutic work with children. During the trip, participants gained knowledge about the history of the Pomeranian region and had the opportunity to participate in sports activities.
