Mainz 05 players Stefan Bell and Philipp Klement visit students

Stefan Bell and Philipp Klement, professional players of 1.FSV Mainz 05 have given 70 pupils of the Anne-Frank school a very special moment.

During their visit they gave a lecture at the library of the school and read to the children a part of the book “Life, as we knew it”, written by Susan Beth Pfeffer. The students were listening with excitement. Not only for the students it was an exciting event but also for the players, who received much applause from the pupils.

After the lecture, the players had plenty of time for signatures and selfies, an opportunity the students had been looking forward.

Next to the lecture, a representative of the school magazine had the unique opportunity to conduct an interview with the two players. Many questions were answered that focused on the days topic ‘ The Blue Planet’. In that context, the players also gave their opinion on environmental issues as the climate change. Both players argued that the results of the climate change are already noticeable and it is everyone’s responsibility to adopt a conscious lifestyle in order to slow down the negative environmental developments.

The students of the Anne-Frank Schule were able to experience a very nice and memorable day.
