Malmö FF makes a stand for equality

Malmö FF celebrates the principle of equal value for all and rejects discrimination. The Swedish football club will mark this in connection with Saturday’s home match against Varbergs BoIS FC at Eleda Stadium.

For Malmö FF, football is an open and inclusive sport where everyone has the right to be themselves. It is natural for the football club to get involved and take a stand on an issue that affects everyone in society.

During Saturday’s match, Malmö FF will therefore show its support for the equal value of all in a clear way. Before kick-off, the players will warm up in a specially designed warm-up rack and MFF’s team captain will wear a rainbow-coloured armband during the match. The usual corner flags will also be changed to rainbow flags.

EFDN also makes a stand for equality and diversity with our Show Racism The Red Card project:

SHOW RACISM THE RED CARD:

Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) is a 24-month anti-racism and anti-discrimination programme which is based on the proven concept of the Red Card Campaign delivered in several European countries. SRtRC utilises the high-profile status of football and football players to help tackle racism in society. The project aims to raise awareness of diversity, foster social cohesion, and reduce physical and verbal violence linked to racism.
