Mifalot kickstarted the Israeli New Year

kickoff-3 (Large)On the 21st and 22nd of September we kick-started our vast annual activities, by gathering all of our 300 staff members- Jews, Bedouins, Druze, Muslim, Christians from all over Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority like our participants that form the region’s society for a two day seminar full of rich and meaningful content.

The seminar had three leading values- connecting the staff with Mifalots goals, learning about the vast coverage of Mifalot’s activities and getting a better understanding of sport as an educational tool and the methodology behind it.

On the first day we started off with some guest lectures first to speak was Mr. Moti Orenshtain– one of the founders of Mifalot, Mr. Orenshtain told us how Mifalot was born and the vision behind it all.

Mr. Ori Afek an Honorary Member of Mifalot blessed us all with his kind and worm words of wisdom. Mr. Arik Zeevi the Judoka, the Bronze medal winner from the Athens Olympics shared is fascinating life story and gave his own tips and input on how sport can make a positive impact on life.  Dr. Slomit Guy a sports researcher talked about sports as an educational tool and its power to change lives.

The second part of the day we devoted to what we do best, play Football. We held the opening Mifalot staff tournament, and ended the day with a festive dinner. The second day was dedicated to learning and practicing the professional methodology of Mifalot. The staff was divided into groups according to the teams they coach, the workshops focused on getting to know the background and a better understanding of our trainees. The staff discussed the importance of the coaches’ role and shared tips and methods of training.

All classes were held by Mifalots educational and field staff, so the coaches had the privilege of learns from the best and most experienced.

An educational seminar like this is a great platform for us to deliver to all our staff- coaches, educational and field teams and the directors a better understanding and knowledge of the organization and by this enhances the connection between all.
