More than 500 free tickets given to charities

With its own foundation Schalke helps! the club made it possible for a total of 575 people to visit the VELTINS Arena during the friendly against SV Werder Bremen on Saturday (14 January). For the majority of the invited guests it was their first visit to the stadium at Schalke.

“For many children, today was the best moment in their lives”

 LINEA eV, non-profit association

This is how LINEA eV, a non-profit association with a focus on child and youth welfare in Gelsenkirchen, summarized the unique experience of 35 children, who organized the invitation from Schalke helps!

They followed the game closely in a block together with Sidi Sané and Rodrigo Zalazar (professional football players). In addition to charitable organizations such as the Gelsenkirchener Tafel eV, the Lebenshilfe-Werk and the association “Diversity in the Ruhr Area”, 24 children from the St. Urbanus day-care center were able to get a taste of Bundesliga air and welcome the Royal Blues to their first home game of the new year.

Support for Schalke also came in the form of the Schalke fan project, which attended the game with a total of 70 young people and adults.

The S04 is looking forward to welcoming its guests from a total of 20 charitable organizations back to Schalke soon.
