Musco Lighting powers Tottenham’s N17 Arena

EFDN partner Musco Lighting has introduced an astroturf pitch just outside the majestic new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that will be utilised as a vibrant community space and talent ID centre.

Just south-east of the club’s home, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s Official Field of Play Lighting Supplier, Musco Lighting, has implemented a dual first-class Mini-Pitch System. It will extensively serve the purposes of the club – as a talent centre for the Global Football Development team.

The astroturf pitch is a game-changing playing surface made entirely from over 18,000 recycled trainers, delivered by Nike Grind. It will play host to a whole range of free sporting activities in the local community, thus expanding the community-focused reach of both Musco and the London club.

“I know from experience how much talent exists within this area, so for young players to come to the doorstep of the stadium and be able to work with the coaches that myself and many others have worked with is massive. The Mini-Pitches will help develop small-sided play, involving close contact and more touches of the ball, including one-v-one duels. When you’re growing up, you want to show your skills and this is the place to do that.”

The N17 Arena will provide a podium for young footballers to showcase their talents and the club’s greater vision of enabling school children to progress their respective careers in professional football.

“We are excited to provide two Mini-Pitch Systems for Tottenham Hotspur and support the Club in its mission to make sure youth are getting the playing spaces and opportunities they deserve.”

Jeff Rogers, President of Musco World
