My AFCCT Story | Marion Douglas

Since being established as a registered charity in 2014 AFC Community Trust’s vision has been to provide support and opportunity to change lives for the better by using the high profile of Aberdeen FC and the enduring attraction of football and sport in general.

AFCCT now delivers a wide range of inclusive community initiatives across the North-East of Scotland and beyond in close partnership with various organisations, other charities and like-minded individuals.

Working closely with Aberdeen City Council, AFCCT works with an increasing number of over 65s across a broad range of activity based programmes. As well as remaining active, the informal social aspect of these groups must be emphasised.

Marion Douglas is a shining example of how they benefit from this.

“How has AFC Community Trust changed my life for the better? It gives me a reason to get up in the morning. Meeting new people, making great friends. We are indeed a family here at AFC Community Trust and I am having the time of my life.”
