PAOK FC – A very special Matchday

Footballers are usually escorted out on the pitch by starry-eyed children, full of dreams. It’s the symbolism of present and future, walking side by side.
However, there are children who were forced to change their dreams, adjust them to reality, for different reasons. No matter what, they are still able to close their eyes and dream and then open their eyes and dare to hope against the odds –nobody can take that away from them.
Matchday 11 of Super League Souroti was dedicated to people with disabilities.
PAOK FC decided to change the usual routine by maintaining however the same symbolism.
Players were not escorted by children, but by people with disability who are living proof that life is tough, but nothing is out of reach.
