Proceeds from practice match Feyenoord-RKC go to projects for refugees in Ukraine

Feyenoord and their partner EuroParcs join forces in several ways to support refugees from Ukraine. For example, the proceeds of the FeyenoordRKC Waalwijk match on 23 March will go towards projects to provide aid to Ukrainian refugees. Feyenoord and its main partner EuroParcs are counting on the support of their fans and call for a massive crowd to be present at the match.

Every day the world witnesses the terrible events in Ukraine and millions of Ukrainians have fled to other countries, including the Netherlands. At the request of the Dutch government, groups of refugees from the Ukraine are being accommodated at several EuroParcs parks throughout the country. However, EuroParcs and Feyenoord not only want to offer the fleeing Ukrainians shelter, but also extra support in the form of facilities for the first necessities of life. In the longer term, EuroParcs and Feyenoord will also provide day care in the form of sports activities and educational support. The #PowerOfFeyenoord, which is used daily for thousands of children and young people in Rotterdam-South, will be used for the refugees from Ukraine.

To make that possible, all proceeds from the Feyenoord – RKC Waalwijk match will go to the Feyenoord Foundation, the driving force behind Feyenoord’s social policy. Together with EuroParcs, the money raised will be used to create additional facilities for the Ukrainian refugees, especially to provide children with a fun and useful day out. Transport, clothing, food and drink, sports and teaching materials, coaches, teachers and other support will be provided. The aim is for as many children as possible to participate structurally in the programmes.
