RKC Waalwijk: project Elke1Equal
A while ago, Samen RKC started again with one of its largest projects: Elke1Equal! During this period, several primary schools are visited by Samen RKC, where several important topics are discussed.
During this project, the focus is on bullying, self-defense, respect, racism and (anti-)discrimination. RKC teaches the children how important these topics are within society during creative lessons. Every day there is one specific theme that is discussed in an interactive way and football examples. Participating schools during this edition include Primary School Besoyen, Villa Vlinderhof and Pater van der Geld.
In addition to lessons in the classroom, the participating students will also visit RYU Waalwijk. An all-round gym that deals with martial arts and fitness. During this visit, the students are taught about self-defense by a certified trainer. The children are made aware of what a certain body position does to you and how you can defend yourself without it turning into a whole fight. In addition to this lesson, the children will also work on cooperative games to increase group dynamics in the classroom.
