Schalke hilft! fulfils dearest wishes
At the match, Schalke 04- RB Leipzig, the club’s foundation “Schalke hilft!” invited several fans to the VELTINS-Arena to fulfil their dearest wishes.
The guests, who enjoyed a day full of excitement and surprises at the stadium had been experiencing dramatic strokes of fate in the past.
The guests already arrived in the early afternoon at the stadium, where they were able to watch the team arrive from close by. Afterwards, they received a private stadium tour, which included parts of the arena that are usually not open to the general public as among others, the substitution and the trainer’s bench.
Later, the guest were able to watch the match against RB Leipzig from the main stand. What turned out to be 90 exciting minutes for everyone, ending with a 1:1.
The excitement continued after the game, when the five special guests got the opportunity to meet the players of Schalke 04, a unique experience for almost all of them.
Only Mattis had already met the players two years early at the yearly hospital visit, which the team does around christmas. He was excited to get another chance of talking to his idols.
The guests had plenty opportunities to take photos and receive signatures from their idols.
