The initiative #EsMomentodeColaborar was a success for Getafe CF
The food and toy collection in the end of December was organized by the Getafe CF Foundation with the help of the Congregation of Our Lady of the Angels. It was held at the Ciudad Deportiva.
From the first day, the Azulona family has been involved in the collection: Foods such as milk, pasta, rice, cookies, broths, chocolates and preserves have been the most received. Up to a total of 600 kilos of food have been accounted for throughout the week, which is a complete success, a figure that has far exceeded the initial expectations of the collection.
In the toys section, the foundation has received all kinds: dolls, stuffed animals, puzzles, books, bicycles, consoles and of course soccer balls. Several vans have been filled with toys that will be distributed with enthusiasm to the most needy houses in Getafe.
The entire club has turned to the initiative. From the smallest of the school, the members of the Genuine and Walking Football team, the players of the subsidiary to the first team. The president personally also made an important donation on behalf of Getafe CF on Tuesday morning.
