Twente youngsters play their final in the stadium
The first final of the FC Twente Cup took place in De Grolsch Veste this week. More than 250 youngsters from all over Twente participated in this project of the foundation ‘Scoring in the Community’ in the past months. Luka Ilic and Danilo handed out the prizes at the final tournament.
With a record number of 26 participating teams from Enschede, Hengelo, Haaksbergen, Glanerbrug, Oldenzaal and Rijssen, youngsters aged 11 to 17 have dedicated themselves to their own neighbourhood over the past three months. By carrying out community contributions and football activities, the teams earned points with the ultimate reward playing in the football tournament for the FC Twente Cup in De Grolsch Veste stadium.
The second final was supposed to take place but could not be held due to the rain. A new date will be scheduled for this.
