A stadium tour for the Walking Football Team of the Benfica Foundation

Recently, the Benfica Foundation organised a stadium tour for the participants of their Walking Football team. Eleven men and women and three staff member had the chance to have a closer look at the iconic stadium of Benfica. Next to visiting the locker rooms, where usually the Portuguese champions gather, they visited the press room and proudly took pictures with the replica of the Championship Trophy.

The Benfica Foundation, which is taking part in the European Legends programme, has currently around 25 active Walking Football members. Once a week, the team comes together to train. Not only do the participants enjoy the physical and social aspects of the Walking Football project, they also see it as a great honour to represent the club.

Next to having training sessions, the group regularly enjoys taking part in other activities. This time it was the stadium tour, next time it will be a museum visit.
