We Are One – Ferencváros Campaign Video

Since 2012 Ferencvárosi Torna Club has been a strong supporter of the cause against discrimination. Our club’s initiatives have previously been recognised and we have now made another campaign video.

Being the first Hungarian sports club, Ferencvárosi Torna Club started a campaign in 2012 against discrimination. Due to the importance of the problem, our club makes educative campaign videos from time to time. In our latest clip the so far most Fradi members show, that “at Ferencváros we are one!”

Our multiple trophy-winner football division is represented by head coach Thomas Doll, Amadou Moutari, Botka Endre, Böde Dániel, Vladan Cukic, Gera Zoltán, Fernando Gorriaran, Julian Koch, Leandro de Almeida, Lovrencsics Gergő, Otigba Kenneth and Priskin Tamás. The women’s handball team, which won the league in 2015 and the Hungarian Cup in 2017, is represented by Elek Gábor, Nerea Pena and Szucsánszki Zita. Madaras Norbert, Varga Dániel and Vogel Soma represent the Euro Cup-winner waterpolo team. The world- and European-champion wrestler Bácsi Péter and the Olympic golden medalist Sike András represent the wrestling division. The cause is further supported by the multiple-time Hungarian champion gymnast, Babos Ádám, the Swedish head coach of our ice hockey team, Greg Lindqvist, the European- and World-champion swordsman Hári Máté, and head coach of our boxing division, Kótai Mihály, together with the two composers, Lofti Begi and Szendrey “Szasza” Zsolt.

It has a symbolic purpose to include also members of the youth department, since it is of utmost importance to transmit the message to the generations of the future: at Fradi we are one!

The videos have their debut during the Football People action week of FARE (Football Against Racism in Europe). The 90-sec video will be shown to the participants of the Fradi School Programme as well. FARE was established in 1999 in Wien, and today it has 150 member clubs from 35 European countries. The Football People action week is organized since 2001: initially there were 9 member countries, but by today the programme has reached 70 countries with over 1500 activities.

The athletes of Ferencváros joined the initiative happily, and the video shooting held many happy moments.
