Wolves join Planet Super League tournament for climate action

With the intention to encourage football fans to take action on climate change, Wolves have joined the CUP26 tournament – a competition run by Planet Super League, with the support of Count Us In.

The tournament allows fans to sign up for free at planetsuperleague.com and score goals for their club by engaging in climate change and protection activities i.e. green actions, which have implications on the final standings of their chosen clubs.

These activities range from short 10 minute actions to two hour activities. They include growing plants at home, saving water and energy, having meat-free meals, swapping old bulbs for LEDs and even designing a family club badge!

All one’s got to do to get started is find their team, help the team win by completing activities on the site and win exciting prizes in the end by helping the club lift the CUP26 trophy. Prizes include vouchers, one-off awards and community rewards.

“We’re delighted to be involved in CUP26. We encourage all of our supporters to get involved to help us win the trophy! Planet Super League provides supporters with the unique opportunity to represent Wolves and reduce carbon emissions at the same time.”

Josh Uppal, Wolves representative

As of the moment, 49 football clubs, including Wolves, engage in 7 match weeks to complete at least 80 different green initiatives and one winner emerges in the end.

CUP26 is the biggest football fan campaign focused on climate change.
