Working together to spread Christmas Cheer

The year 2020 has been a challenging year for all in many ways however many EFDN members aim to finish this year on a positive and spread Christmas cheer across Inverclyde. In partnership with Compassionate Inverclyde, River Clyde Homes, Amazon and Inverkip Community Hub, Morton in the Community are looking to deliver Jolly Boxes to residents of Inverclyde and those in care homes and hospital throughout Christmas.

Having worked together in 2019 to deliver Festive Friends at Cappielow, the organisation is excited to support Alison and the team at Compassionate Inverclyde alongside Amazon, RiverClyde Homes and Inverkip Community Hub to deliver festive cheer and put some much needed smiles to people across Inverclyde.

Brian McLaughlin, Morton in the Community; “Christmas for a lot of people can be challenging and more so this year, we are hoping to spread some Christmas cheer and give residents of Inverclyde and those in care homes & hospitals a gift of kindness and something to smile about in the lead up to Christmas.”

Alison Bunce, Compassionate Inverclyde; “It will be great to spread some Christmas Community Cheer across Inverclyde. These Jolly Boxes are filled with love and kindness from our own people, as always ordinary people helping ordinary people “

Heather Mitchell, River Clyde Homes; “We know how difficult this year has been for our customers and the wider community and so are delighted to be working in partnership again this year to bring some festive joy.”

Kevin Rodgers, Inverkip Community Hub; “Inverkip Community Hub looks forward to turning the main hall into Santa’s workshop for a few days to help make up the JollyBoxes.”

The Jolly Boxes which have been designed by Compassionate Inverclyde include a variety of items and each box will be wrapped and delivered to residents of Inverclyde and Morton in the Community are looking for volunteers to assist with this.
