Aston Villa Foundation – Premier League Reading Stars & Literacy
Premier League Reading Stars, offered by the Aston Villa Foundation, is a reading programme developed by the National Literacy Trust, aimed at Year 5 and 6 pupils and specifically targets disengaged readers.
The ‘Reading Stars’ programme aims to promote enjoyment of reading and increase literacy skills through the power of football.
Children learn to develop and maintain positive attitudes to reading by using football as a tool for engaging children.
