Derby County Community Trust – Team Talk

Team Talk is Derby County Community Trust’s men’s mental health project designed to provide a ‘safe space’ to talk for males.

It operates city-wide hubs within community settings and aims to provide a support network for anyone who may be in need of additional support.

The hubs are open to any males aged 18+ to attend.

Key groups the trust works with include those recovering from substance misuse, students and those with high-pressure jobs, but they invite all males from any background to get in touch if they could support them.

Derby County Community Trust can also signpost participants to further medical support or intervention where necessary.

Funded by Derby County’s principal sponsor, 32Red, the unique relationship between Community Trust and sponsor has been replicated across the country and has been researched by academics at the University of Derby.

“I am part of a special group of people from all sorts of different backgrounds and walks of life. I feel this has broadened my horizons and my understanding of how mental health affects people’s lives. – Participant
