Greener Well- Motherwell FC
In 2015, Motherwell Football Club Community Trust received funding from the Climate Challenge Fund for a project to extend carbon literacy across Lanarkshire supporting the aim of a low carbon future and create a legacy of awareness and understanding that will reduce CO2 emissions in the longer term. The project uses the brand name and reach of players/coaches of Motherwell Football Club to promote lower carbon lifestyle choices in Lanarkshire.
The aims of the project are to:
• Reduce the impact and costs of energy, clothing and travel associated with sporting activities
• Raise awareness of carbon emissions and climate change
