PFC Ludogorets – #LiveFriendship

The #LiveFriendship project started with the beginning of the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks 2019.

The symbol of the #LiveFriendship idea was a football that was handed over from the players to the city and region community, from them to the other sports clubs in the city and from these clubs to the children of the school and was finally given to the first volunteers of the project .

During a charity spring ball organised by the Ludogorie Association – Razgrad together with the Rotary Club, Lions Club, the Templar Order and the Public Donorship Fund, the goalkeeper of tLudogorets Vlado Stoyanov launched the campaign #LiveFriendship. The goal of the programme is to support the children’s talents in Razgrad. The idea of having children befriended not through their computers and phones, but through sports and leisure activities, was warmly supported by the community. The children liked the kick-off and asked for a long-term partnership.

A few days after this event, after the end of the next basketball tournament, representatives of the Public Donorship Fund, gave the ball of the #LiveFriendship campaign to the girls and boys, the pack of “Wolves” at Basketball Club – Razgrad.

As a follow-up to the initiative, the Wolves boys were guests at the Club Academy where they saw the academy’s trophies, went to the dressing room, and held a soccer drill together. They learned to use their legs instead of their hands for possession of the ball. The meeting ended with a friendly match in which the children together, through football, established new friendships.

We organized a contest in which 12 years old journalists from the city shared short videos using the slogan #LiveFriendship. We are proud to have received many clips from girls and boys, but a special jury chose Anna Shishkova to be the representative of young journalists at this major event in Madrid during the Champions League final. Anna is a member of the robotics club in the city and has won many national and international awards. From the Academy, three boys of the same age went also to Madrid. They were chosen on basis of their appearance as athletes, the presence of a large circle of friends and the desire to become ambassadors of the idea of friendship. They were the only representatives from Bulgaria on the Football for Friendship forum.

In support of the idea of #LiveFriendship, PFC Ludogorets created a Facebook group to include volunteers from different age groups, cultures and interests who, together with the club, participate in and support various projects related to football, sports and culture in the region. It should be noted that one of our first volunteers, Hakmet, thanks to his volunteer participation, has earned a $ 5,000 US scholarship. Thanks to him and other young people, more children decided to join this project and became our volunteers – the folk dance club “Hortse”, the children from the cheerleading ensemble Razgrad and the students from several schools. This has continued and we invite each of our volunteers to participate in and support the organization of various sports events.
