Recovery with Rangers Charity Foundation

Recovery with Rangers aims to have a positive impact on people’s recovery from addiction through football.

The project uses the power of football to engage with men and women who are in recovery and helps them move in positive directions towards volunteering, further education, training and employment.

Participants take part in a number of activities throughout the programme, including football coaching, which can help develop communication skills and lead to improved self-esteem.

In order to enhance the future employment opportunities and develop the confidence of participants, they complete their SFA Level 1 coaching qualification and Level 1 First Aid course which can help them progress onto positive destinations following the course.

Participants take part in a number of other workshops delivering key messages in relation to drugs, alcohol, diet, healthy eating and money matters.

The Foundation is grateful to NHS Health Improvement South Sector (Glasgow) for their funding support for this programme.
