AEK Athens joins the European Football for Development Network

AEK Athens is the first Greek Club that officially became a full member of European Football for Development Network on 15th of July.

AEK F.C., known in European competitions as AEK Athens F.C., is a Greek association football club based in Nea Filadelfeia suburb of Athens. They are one of the most popular Greek clubs with millions of fans in Greece and Cyprus, and in Greek communities worldwide, mainly in Australia, United Kingdom, and North America.
The Greek club, guided by the history of the team and responsibility to the fans and society, has planned and developed an important Social Responsibility programme. This programme includes multifaceted targeted actions intended to contribute substantially to the protection of the environment, to education, to culture and to society as a whole.
AEK fans are the initiators, the loyal supporters and contributors to this effort. They are enthusiastically involved in each action of the programme, together with the valuable help of the AEK FC sponsors.

AEK joins a network with clubs such as Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Feyenoord, Benfica, PSV Eindhoven, Bayer Leverkusen, Werder, Wolfsburg, the Cypriot Anorthosis Famagusta, while the network is expanding rapidly in order to become a reference point for European football.
