BSC Young Boys offers a school day in their stadium
Under the motto “YB makes school”, BSC Young Boys offers the opportunity for selected classes to spend a tailor-made school day at the Wankdorf stadium, the club’s stadium.
The club’s intention is not to make this opportunity one of a class trip, but the shift of the lesson to a different setting for new learning opportunities. The school day consists of four to five lessons in total and can include subjects such as French, mathematics, sustainability, mental strength, YB values, football & fans or sports. Such opportunity will allow the kids to immerse themselves in a new learning environment whilst keeping education at the forefront of the programme.
The orientation of the content is based on the competence needs of the learners as well as on the educational requirements of schools and school subjects. The lessons are held by different YB exponents.
In addition, the students have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the BSC Young Boys on a stadium tour and experience the Wankdorf stadium in all its diversity. The pupils can look forward to an unforgettable, exciting and instructive school day outside of their usual everyday school life, hopefully with lasting impressions.
The programme will be offered to interested classes (5th-9th grade, both secondary and Realschule) from the canton of Bern and applications can be done through the club’s website and encourages kids or other parties to convince teachers to put in an application. Furthermore, the selection process will be based on a creative video made by the teacher and kids along with additional information about the class.
