3rd Walking Football Festival Lisboa
EFDN is partnering with Fundação Benfica for the 3rd Walking Football Festival Lisboa in Lisbon on the 20th and 21st June 2019. Teams are invited to sign up and join in the tournament which will have 2 separate competitions, one for teams who would like to play competitively and one for teams who would prefer a more relaxed competition and enjoy the Portuguese sun. Teams are made up of 8 to 10 players plus 2 staff and the tournament will be played on the pitches outside of the Estadio de Luz.
The competitive tournament will be made up of 20 teams from around Europe and will use the EFDN Walking Football rules while the non-competitive tournament/games will be made up of 10 teams. The tournament entry is free of charge with lunch provided each day and a tournament closing ceremony will also take place on the last day with food and drinks.
The accommodation for the tournament is at the Upon Lisbon apartments which are located within walking distance to the stadium and special deals have been arranged from the 19th to 21st March for tournament participants. There are two apartment types available as below.
- T1 – for a maximum of 3 people, each room with 2 twin beds and 1 sofa bed.
- T2 – for a maximum of 4 people, each room with a queen bed, 2 twin beds and a sofa bed.
For either apartment type, the price is €45 per person per night (price inclusive of breakfast and tourist tax) with this based on the rooms having the maximum amount of people staying in them, e.g. if the rooms only have 2 people in them the price will be higher. Accommodation bookings should be made through EFDN. Teams will need to arrange their own travel to/from Lisbon. Transfers to/from the airport in Lisbon can be arranged depending on flight arrangements.
The deadline for registration is 1st May 2019.
