The European Football for Development Network is legally established as the EFDN Foundation. The main task of the EFDN Foundation is the development and administration of the network. The foundation coordinates and facilitates the cooperation among the football clubs within the network and is responsible for the organisation of network meetings and project management of the European exchange and community programmes.
The foundation is in permanent contact with the member clubs and/or their affiliated CSR foundations, develops new concepts and methods and initiates and facilitates contact with sponsors and partners to support clubs to improve quality and impact of their local community projects. The foundation maintains a database for good practices that allows members to share good practices that are useful for others members. Additionally, the foundation constantly analyses the social engagement of professional football clubs in Europe to set up potential new collaborations and enlarge the network. We develop meaningful, mutually beneficial partnerships with government agencies, major corporations, federations and some of the world’s biggest foundations.
The foundation is an adviser in the field of corporate social responsibility in sports and development through sports and supports governmental and non-governmental organisations from the fields of sport, economy, education, science and development.
