A healthy breakfast with the FC Emmen first team
On the 12th of February, 100 kids from Erica, in the Drenthe district of Emmen had breakfast with their parents at the ‘De Oude Meerdijk’ stadium as part of the FC Emmen and Naoberschap United ‘Emmen Healthy‘ project. The kids and their parents were joined by some of the FC Emmen first team and staff, with the breakfast provided by Albert Heijn Klaver Kortwijk. After everyone had finished their breakfast it was time to get the signatures and pictures from the first team players and the participants also received a lunch boxes. The players also discussed the importance of eating a healthy breakfast daily.
The community coaches then held a sports session in the stadium with the help of the first team players and coaches and the kids and their parents then stayed to watch the first team train before going to school. After the session, the children are asked to make a breakfast selfie which is shared with FC Emmen and Naoberschap United, who print the picture and place it on the photo wall in the stadium.
It was a fun, and above all educational morning for the kids and parents!
