ADO Den Haag Oldstars Active In Many Fields!
In addition to the weekly Thursday training for the over-60s at HVV Laakkwartier, the ADO Den Haag OldStars had a number of walking football events in recent weeks.
On Thursday, June 8, the training was moved to the Bingoal Stadium. The over-60s were given the unique opportunity to play football on the best lawn in the Kitchen Champion Division! Under the leadership of Philip and Ramon, there was enthusiastic training and, above all, a lot of laughter. As young dogs, the OldStars darted across the field and some physical contact was not shunned. The training ended with a group photo and a drink.
Many tournaments are organized during this time of the year. The ADO Den Haag OldStars meet their peers at tournaments at Zoetermeer OldStars (April 30), FC Utrecht (May 24), RKC (June 2) and PSV (June 19).
In Zoetermeer, no fewer than two teams were active, while at the DOM tournament in Utrecht, the help of former ADO players was called in to complete the team.
The results were mixed, ranging from middle class to champion, culminating in winning the sportsmanship cup of the walking football tournament at PSV at the Herdgang in Eindhoven. This beautiful cup was awarded by players of the PSV blind football team!
