AZ Alkmaar – Playing for Success Certificate Awards

No fewer than 136 Playing for Success participants concluded their training last week. Divided into nine awards and in the presence of a total of 500 guests, the participants received their certificates in the Co Adriaanse Press Room of the AFAS Stadium, home to the AZ Alkmaar team.

For 11 weeks, the participants in Playing for Success worked on various goals such as gaining more self-confidence, a more positive self-image, more motivation and many more personal goals. By doing various activities in the stadium, such as the Tribute Game, the Escaperoom from the dressing room, the Quality Game, Who is the Mole? and many more challenging and educational activities, the participants worked on their goals. They did this under the guidance of their own coach, who helped them benefit from what they had learned outside Playing for Success, for example at school or at the sports club.

Press Room

During the certificate ceremony, all participants, together with their coach, presented themselves from behind the press table in the Co Adriaanse Press Room. The participants talked about their development, what they learned and what they liked most. Then each coach had nice words for their own coach children and the certificate was officially signed. This was followed by the photo opportunity with the AZ mascots Herry & Berry, who were present at all nine awards.

Congratulation Video

Finally, there were congratulatory videos from AZ coach Pascal Jansen and players Pantelis Hatzidiakos, Tijjani Reijnders, Sven Mijnans and Hobie Verhulst. A nice surprise, as they had nice words for the participants who worked so hard on their goals over the past few weeks.

27 Groups

With these nine awards, Playing for Success Alkmaar concluded its season, in which more than 400 pupils participated. In total, 27 groups targeting primary, secondary, language classes and practical education.
