Brentford Towers Tournament brings Community Together

During the October Half Term, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust hosted a football tournament for children aged 8 to 16 years old at Brentford Towers Cruyff Court.

Located in the heart of Brentford Towers, the all-weather Cruyff Court was the perfect backdrop for our October half-term football tournament. Funded by Premier League Kicks, the Johan Cruyff Foundation and Hounslow Youth Service, the tournament was an opportunity to give back to the local community. With boys and girls aged 8 to 16 taking part, the tournament was a huge success in uniting the community and providing an enjoyable environment to play football.

“The young people here today generally come to Brentford Towers or our Friday night session at Gunnersbury Park. We’ve had a great turnout from all age groups, and everyone is here for a really good day of football.” […] “Community Engagement for us is about giving opportunities to young people that wouldn’t necessarily get them. They can come and play on good facilities with great staff and come out to enjoy football in a safe environment.”

Scott Southgate, Community Engagement Coordinator at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust
