CAFE Week of Action – Members raise awareness of inclusion

The CAFE Week of Action is a unique opportunity for clubs, venues, federations and supporters groups to celebrate disabled people and the important role they can play in both sport and the wider society.

The ninth annual CAFE Week of Action between 6-14 March 2021 is currently taking place. Stakeholders from across sport are encouraged to join CAFE in marking the largest action of its kind raising awareness of access and inclusion within sport.

Why get involved?

The CAFE Week of Action is about celebrating inclusion in the game that we love, and working towards ensuring disabled people can take their rightful places amongst their peers within sport – from the grassroots to the boardrooms – as spectators, players, coaches, administrators, volunteers, and decision makers.

The CAFE Week of Action belongs to you, the key stakeholders – disabled fans and their groups, clubs, leagues and the national associations. This is a great opportunity to present a positive story of inclusion and access.

The message of #TotalAccess has continued to spread across Europe and beyond, with an ever-growing number of disabled people enjoying live sport.

Apollon FC promotes social inclusion during Derby

For the 6th season in a row, Apollon FC is supporting the CAFE Week of Action – #TotalAccess – as the club strongly believes in mutual respect and equality amongst all people. During this season’s CAFE Week of Action, the Apollon FC football players entered the pitch holding a banner with the “Total Access” message at the local derby against AEL on March 8. In addition, an educational video will be posted which aims at raising awareness and promote inclusion for disabled people.

#TotalAccess on Social Media

#TotalAccess is not just a motto – it is what the game should be aspiring to achieve.

CAFE is pleased to promote and celebrate the activities and initiatives who share their belief in #TotalAccess. CAFE can also help and advise you on any events and projects you may be planning and will be pleased to share them widely amongst their networks to help further raise awareness.
