CBF accreditation for Feyenoord Foundation

The EFDN member Feyenoord Foundation will be CBF-approved as of 1 January 2022. The Central Bureau on Fundraising (CBF) is the supervisory body for charities in the Netherlands. Only charities that meet strict quality requirements can be awarded the seal of approval.

The Feyenoord Foundation was set up in 2011 with the main aim of raising funds for Feyenoord’s social policy and to manage these funds separately from the professional football organisation’s operations. The largely independent board ensures that socially labelled funds are spent in a correct and responsible manner.

“We are of course proud of this. Through scientific research we show that our projects have a real impact and through the recognition with the CBF seal of approval we meet strict requirements and everyone can assume that we handle every euro with care, that we are accountable and that we are independently verified.”

Ton Strooband, Social Affairs Manager at Feyenoord

The money that is collected by the Feyenoord Foundation is invested directly in projects and activities that strengthen the people of Rotterdam. These projects are mainly aimed at stimulating sports and exercise, education and employment.

“Scientific research has already shown that our activities have a real impact. Add to this the CBF seal of approval and it makes us the ideal cooperation partner for companies and organisations when you really want to make a difference in Rotterdam.”

Ton Strooband, Social Affairs Manager at Feyenoord
