EFDN CEO presenting at International Football for Development Congress in Buenos Aires

Next week, 18th and 19th of March, the CEO of EFDN, Hubert Rovers, will attend and hold a presentation at the 1st International Congress: Football for Inclusion and Development in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At this occasion we will also officially kick off the More Than Football Action week with River Plate Fundación.

Rovers will present on the second day of the congess, during the international panel, together with other european foundations such as Benfica Foundation and UEFA Foundation.

The 1st International Congress: “Football for Inclusion and Development” will last a total of two days, with many panels treating different topics. In the first day’s agenda, between the others, we can highlight the main plenary session, regarding the “Importance of Sports for Sustainable Development” and panels such as “Football as a tool for inclusion and empowerment for people with disabilities” and “The social impact of football clubs: campaigns against racism”, held by the Brazilian Confederation.

During the second day, other than the international panel where EFDN will have a place together with the UEFA Foundation and EFDN Member Fundaçao Benfica, another really interesting topic will be the discussopn led by UN Women, “Transforming the game: football as an agent of change in gender equality”.

The National Foundation of Uruguay, CR Flamengo, Internacional, Sao Paolo FC, the Peruvian Football Federation and the Atlético Madrid Foundation will also be present and hold a panel or presentation at the congress.
