A vacancy for a Board member for EFDN has become available for interested and suitably
experienced members of EFDN.
If you feel you have the necessary experience and credentials and would like to be
considered for Board membership, please read the important information below and the
details of how to apply.
Information, Requirements and Application:

  • The Board is looking to appoint someone who is passionate about using the power of
    football to drive positive change in communities across Europe, around the world
    and help shape the future of EFDN as the “go to” organisation in terms of CSR and
    creating activities that promote social equality and responsibility.
  • EFDN is dedicated to harnessing the work of football clubs, leagues, and individuals
    across Europe to make positive social change to improve the lives and life chances of
    people in our communities. EFDN collaborates with clubs, leagues, governing bodies,
    partner agencies and communities to create lasting change through our shared
    passion for the “beautiful game” and what it can achieve “off the field of play”.
    Requirements: Experience and Skills.
  • As a Board member you will play a vital role in helping guide our strategic direction,
    fund raising efforts, memberships, and partnerships. The Board works closely with
    the CEO of EFDN, Hubert Rovers, and his staff to support their work and help manage
    the future development of the organisation and our network.
  • Applicants must have a good command of English as all our business is conducted in
    the English language.
  • Interested applicants will have a passion for football and its unique place in driving
    positive change across communities; have recent leadership experience in the areas
    of sport development or other related fields; possess an ability for strategic thinking
    and a vision for EFDN`s growth. You must also be available to attend the online Board
    meetings as required and, from time to time, attend face-to-face meetings, usually in
    the Netherlands, as needed.

  • If you are excited by the opportunity to join the Board and wish to join us in utilising
    football as a force for good, please submit a concise CV setting out your current role
    and position, experience, and any specific skills you feel will support your application.
  • In addition, submit a brief letter, no longer than two sides of A4, setting out why you
    feel you would be a suitable candidate for the position; your involvement with EFDN
    specifically; areas of interest and any qualifications you believe may help your
    application.
