Legia Close the Action Weeks with a Crossbar Challenge from AMP Team Players

Yesterday marked the last day of the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks. Legia Warsaw and the Legia Foundation rose to the challenge to close the campaign on a strong note with a crossbar challenge from players of the Legia AMP Football Team.

The AMP Football Team of Legia Warsaw is a team for amputees. It was created thanks to a partnership between Legia and 2018 Polish champion Gloria Varsovia. In the 2019 season, Legia AMP won bronze medals in the first ever edition of the EAFF Champions League in Tblisi, Georgia.

The Legia Foundation published a video featuring Piotrek, Max and Dominik, teammates at the Legia AMP for individuals with physical disabilities. The players took on a crossbar challenge and completed it masterfully with 3/3 shots hitting the bar.

“Football is something more than just football itself. It is the possibility of realising our dreams and passion,” said Piotrek before completing the challenge and nominating the Legia Ladies and the TS Podbeskidzie Kuloodporni BB (another team in Poland for amputees).

A great way to close this year’s #Morethanfootball Action Weeks. Legia continues to play its role on and off the field, for its fans and the community.
