Legia Foundation launched the third edition of Back2School

This year, Legia Foundation launched the third edition of the “Back2School” campaign and have invited almost a hundred pupils aged 7 to 15 from three Warsaw community clubs.

“Back2School” is an action aimed at preparing students for new educational goals in the 2019/2020 school year. Each year, the range of action increased. This year, almost 100 pupils from three Warsaw day-care rooms received school kits and help during the preparations.

First team players support action

Legia Foundation could count on the help of Legia Warsaw’s first team players Mateusz Wieteska and Paweł Stolarski, who prepared layettes and handed them to children in the common room. Their presence made the day even more special for those cared by the community clubs. The visit saw many questions, smiles, photos and of course autographs.

Students received the necessary school supplies such as notebooks, blocks, pens, crayons, plasticine, paints, pencils, geometric accessories, sharpeners, food container, shoe bag, or a new backpack. One of the most urgent needs is to provide children with basic clothing, which is why the packages provided included, among others, PE clothing, T-shirts, tracksuits, pants, warm autumn jackets, rain jackets and underwear. In addition, this year some children received a brush and toothpaste, shampoo and shower gel

The layettes that Legia Foundation prepare for children as part of the Back2School campaign are based on a list of items submitted by the institution’s educators. The packages were full of branded items and gave the children incredible joy.
