LFC Foundation celebrates club’s annual Community Day

In the last 12 months, LFC Foundation supported 123,000 people across all programmes ranging from sport and physical activity to youth intervention and education. More about their work over the last year can be found in foundation’s latest impact report.

Last saturday, duing the game against Burnley, LFC Foundation staff were in the fan zone pre-match and around the ground, while young participants from their programmes were assigned to welcome the teams out onto the pitch ahead of kick-off, waving LFC Foundation flags.

School children from local primary schools were also in attendance and took part in a half-time penalty shoot-out. Supporters were also able to get their hands on the matchworn shirts from the game, which were auctioned off in the weeks following the match to raise funds for LFC Foundation.

“Community Day is always a special occasion and it’s brilliant for us to have the support of the match going fans and to be able to shine a light on the work we are doing here at the LFC Foundation.”

Matt Parish, chief executive of LFC Foundation
